Thanks Sandi. Ecovillage life is a journey and fun to share. I am wondering how we can make this whole conversation more intimate. Essays are fun, but within dialogue is where the growth tend to sprout best. Maybe I'll start doing some community calls, if there is enough interest. We do host people at our farm! Several readers have come which has been really fun. You are most welcome! There is always room at our table.
Hey, Gregory, it was nice to see your face and hear your voice, and I enjoyed your message too. Getting things done before relaxing or getting zenned out, or whatever. And connecting with real life more than our computers. A good reminder.
Thailand sounds amazing, and so does your ecovillage.
And Substack? I think it's what we make it. I love so many of the people I've connected with here, and hustle isn't my thing.
It is always a joy to hear from you Diana. Your words remind me of a song I love that suggests everything can be medicine or poison depending how it is approached. I’m interested in the long game, the slow cooking of a homegrown meal. All blessings to you and the land you call home.
Your words really resonate with me— especially how easy it is to fall into a trap of "produce, produce, produce!" When I joined Substack I found it so refreshing to have a space just to share longer form thoughts... and I feel the platform shifting into being co-opted by the grind. I'm glad you're taking the time to step back.
Thoughts are of one speed, activity is in need of being conscious and connected.
Language divides, not technology, the shovel is more choice ‘weapon or assistance’.
Weapon to hide, or to dig up the truth.
Brilliant! Reminds me of a dear friend of mine who makes garden tools out of melted guns.
Ah yes, the arts, I recall a few such exhibits.
The instruments of war can be the instruments of song.
Build schools not bombs.
Thank You Gregory for welcoming us to know you a bit better and get a slice of your life and the clarity of your intentions.
It is inspiring to hear about your eco community and witness you, living your values.
I think we need a lot of energy for the path & putting that first, before tranquility, is helpful to recognise. Thanks for the reminder 🙏🏼
Wishing you All much love & and an abundance of energies, leading to peaceful steps on our precious Earth,
Sandi 🤍🕊️

Take care, and thanks for checking in.

Thanks for your charming response, Gregory.
What a beautiful lyric -- and so true, I believe.
Blessings back to you, and to your family and home.

Thanks Jenny! Like Bayo says, These times are urgent, let’s slow down…
Slow and steady👌 Thanks for the update 🙏
