Wise friends indeed. And I suppose everyone offers an infinite supply of insight. I loved the quote you shared in a recent post Sally, "The way we live is propositional. It’s a story we are telling. It changes. We can change it. Nothing is fixed. Nothing is fated." A good reminder. And as "non-western" people embrace western ideals, and westerners yearn for a deeper understanding of the east, the story gets ever more complex.
