A view apart is indeed something to be grateful for! I am also grateful to be able to experience this beautiful world outside the narrow perspective I was raised in, and completely empathize with your post. Thank you!

Too much for one comment! But one thing- the journey is not a physical act. Following my curiosity gave me the motivation to set old stories aside and go in search of the truth. It is a journey I am still on. We can travel around the world 5 times over and never step outside of our mental or spiritual comfort zone. Your view apart didn’t just come from your travels. It came from your willingness to change with each new experience. Keep inspiring others! It’s what the world needs!😊🌏😊

Thanks for reading TL! I wonder if you would be willing to share a little about what you have learned since journeying elsewhere?

Yes, I greatly resonate. It seems the experience of being “the stranger” is one of the most potentially important experiences for those of us from mainstream colonizer culture.

I think so. "The other" as it turns out, is us, and no one. The concept of "the stranger" only points out our own ignorance. Thanks for sharing Leah!,

This and all that has learned and unlearned within, from, for and with you gives you these eyes, this heart, those assurances you now grow and feed your family on. Your particulars are universe, all, in one. So lovely, after a day of making a crust to share myself, i find your letter from home, so close in reflection, even as it is so far in space and hanging, like a moonlit web, gathering in the breeze it is well at home with.

Thank you.
