This week I am currently guiding a group of students from the U.S. through the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam to learn about The American War, its continuing impacts on life here and also the impacts of poor management of one of the most important rivers on Earth. Fun stuff.
I don’t have time to properly offer much this week. But I did journey to the Saigon intersection this morning where master Thích Quảng Đức famously lit himself on fire in a powerful protest of the madness that was occurring in his homeland in 1963. This event still has an impact on beings around the world. One of the more powerful acts of resistance to date. I have a lot to share about this. Maybe an article next week, when the students return home and I have some more time. We’ll see…
For now, I want to briefly recommend that you watch Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche’s new film, Pig at the Crossing. Like the monk who set himself on fire, this film shattered me. We all have ideas of what is going on. That’s all it is, ideas…. Do yourself a favor and check it out. Virtual screening tomorrow. (link below).

Looks very interesting, I plan on watching it soon, thanks for the recommendation.
